I always had a steady interest in photography, but it wasn’t until this past year that I really developed a deeper passion and appreciation for film photography. There is just such a raw and vulnerable essence of film that no other medium can quite achieve. It was at a little flea market nestled somewhere in eastern Paris that I purchased my very first film camera for a mere 10 euro, and thus it all began.
My name is Megan and I am a twenty-year-old creative currently residing in Louisville, Kentucky. I moved to Paris early last fall, shortly after my 19th birthday. It all kind of happened on a whim. I was bored of the mundanity of everyday life and had an intense craving for the anonymity of being somewhere completely new. I booked a one way flight, found a job and a place to live, and was on my way with no plans on when I would be returning.
Honestly speaking, the year I spent living in Paris was the best thing that has happened to me so far. I experienced love and heartbreak and made the best, most sincere and humbling friendships I have ever had. If you’re thinking about running away to somewhere new, do it.
Here is a little glimpse into what my life looks like, hope you enjoy. x
