“Thankfully, we did. Get home, I mean. Even if it was
around midnight. Beats sleeping in the car and staying
the night over in an unfamiliar town.”
Whenever I go back to that day in Santa Cruz, I always see it in my mind’s eye as this classic scene that Hollywood portrays in the movies. Shooting in B&W film gave these moments the exact mood that I was going for.
I shot scenes from Santa Cruz in both monochrome and color, and it gave off a striking character and mood distinction to the images. With monochrome film, the photos captured this feeling of nostalgia. With the colored film, the photos captured this vibrancy of life. I just think it’s incredible to see such a distinction in the impact and feelings evoked by each set – despite shooting within the same day and location.

THIS IS SO AMAZING
oh this images are gorgeous
These are lovely!
There is no finer place, along the entire California coast. Santa Cruz was absolutely salubrious, each time I stood at the shore.
I love the vintage feel this photo set had! Gorgeous!

Beautiful Pictures!
WOOOOOOW. I absolutely fell in love with each and every one of these images. The black and white ones kind of had this “memory vibe” to them, like long forgotten/past memories at the back of one’s mind. Simply beautiful.
